Orkut Applications

After quite a long time orkut has finally launched orkut applications. After logging into orkut today I say a link which read "Add applications and customize your profile". Users can now add applications from orkuts application directory. They can also submit their open social applications to the directory. Get ready to see some cool orkut apps in this blog.

Similar to the previous application I posted, this app allows you to chat on Yahoo messenger. This application uses the web based messenger provided by ebuddy.com.

This is my first application for orkut. It was really simple to make. It has all the features of the web based gtalk client. In fact it is nothing but the actual the web based gtalk client embedded within the application. This should work on other sites which use open social as well.

Google has started a new project called OpenSocial. OpenSocial is a set of common APIs for developers to create applications that work on websites like Orkut, Facebook, Digg etc. that have chosen to participate.
